192 Willow

192 Willow

I have several huge trees on my property and with every storm that comes through a little bit always finds its way onto my lawn..
Today’s quick storm sent a rather large chunk down.. Surprisingly it landed perfectly in the 4’ space between the garage and house..

187 Attic

Rachael discovered that the TV I ran wire for in the bedroom turned off with the light switch… ug
So I had to go back in the attic and swap 1 wire, I’m glad it was a simple fix…

182 Cabin

182 Cabin

Rachael and I went up to the Cabin for the Fourth..
This is a picture of part of the railing that I made. It runs the whole length of the loft areas.
It has a cattail design across 3 boards that is routed through 3/4” Black Ash wood.
Looks pretty cool if I am allowed to say so…

179 Mudflaps

179 Mudflaps

I got mud flaps for Christmas and tonight I finally put them on the car..
Without them stuff would cover the doors and windows, we will see if this makes a difference.

154 Rivet

154 Rivet

Seriously this will be the last HVAC picture for awhile…
It’s just such a monumental occasion… I have never lived in a house with air conditioning..

153 Heavy Metal

So the old furnace is out..
I believe it was installed in 1953, that’s 57 years of service..

152 Norge Heat

152 Norge Heat

When we got home from Duluth today I had to get to work cleaning the basement..
Tomorrow this ancient furnace will hopefully be removed and replaced.
I have my doubts that the new furnace will last as long as this old beast did.

145 Crib

145 Crib

Walls painted, carpet laid, windows and doors trimmed, baseboards in, changing table and crib assembled…
It’s starting to look like a nursery to me…

143 Carpet

Tonight started putting carpet in the nursery.. I think we will enjoy this (every other room is wood)
Made some progress this weekend, cased and trimmed windows, patched holes, painted the walls and closet, repaired a door, removed and replaced a door, and installed carpet..
Next stop central air… Doing all of this in a near 90 degree house is brutal..
